Companies to Watch
One of the things our business leaders really need is complex thinking skills.
BAYLE: They have to be able to spell and write a paragraph.
MARTIN: Thinking of our host, Utah Business magazine, it would be a shame for its readers not to take away an understanding that everybody around this table is doing everything they can with increasing demand and shrinking resources. We’re doing what we can, but we cannot obtain this goal alone, let alone assure a quality learning experience for our children that they are thereby relevant in a knowledge based global economy without increased investment. The whole purpose of this goal is to wake the populous up and then say, what else can we be doing?
We are doing everything we can within existing resources, but without the message to our parents to save for college, to invest in their children’s future, to our legislature to do that as well, this would be a missed opportunity. It will take increased investment of resources to ensure the future prosperity of our state.
