Commercial Competitors Shake to Furniture Friendship

Interior Solutions (IS), an office furniture and workspace services provider headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, has joined forces with Concert Architectural Interiors (CAI), underscoring its commitment to provide to clients the broadest—and most promising for success—spectrum of workspace solutions, spatial designs and furniture lines. CAI has serviced the Arizona market for more than 13 years, providing high-density storage solutions, office furniture, movable walls, modular case work and specialty healthcare products and all related services. CAI has heavily serviced vertical markets, specifically, yielding solutions for military, public safety, healthcare, corporate and college sectors, and averaging 20 million in sales over the last five years.

“When we put our two companies side-by-side and consider our separate scope of services but similar service-based business approach, it’s easy to see how two is better than one,” said Pete Harris, president of IS. “We are certain our combined companies and services therein will accelerate Interior Solutions’ development nationwide and allow us to maximize the many opportunities out there for business.”

Of the merged entity, Greg Gawin, owner of CAI, also forecasts a well-equipped team of talent that will tackle and tap into new business opportunities.

“CAI should open some new markets for IS, like selling deeply into the acute care hospital market, museums, libraries, 911 command rooms and public safety—for instance, the storage and tracking of property and evidence,” Gawin said. “IS will be able to…work in multiple vertical markets and have the trained staff and products to service those markets. This will not only grow the furniture sales for IS but will add significantly to service sales in these markets.”

Gawin and CAI employees will join the Interior Solutions—Arizona team and will bring their clients and projects to and under the Interior Solutions name and corporate strategy. IS foresees former CAI employees filling roles and responsibilities in sales, design, project management, installation, administrative and executive departments.

“We’ve been presented with a unique opportunity to grow—both as a merged company and as individuals—and we are excited for that process to unfold,” said Scot Wilcox, COO of IS.
