GOLDENWEST CREDIT UNION

  • Size: Medium
  • Employees: 272

Working at Goldenwest Credit Union pays off. Employees not only get performance-based bonuses and other financial incentives, but smaller rewards like a gift card on their birthday. Working for the credit union also gets employees financial discounts on loans, rate bumps on deposits and help with mortgages. Employees and their immediate families get free financial counseling.

The friendly atmosphere is fostered by frequent employee appreciation events, anniversary recognitions and family-friendly parties. Management has an open door policy. One employee says the management team really follows the Golden Rule: “They have gotten to know me from day one, and I have always been pleasantly surprised at the way they interact with everyone at the company.”

The credit union has never had layoffs in its 75 years, and employees say they feel secure in their jobs and feel they have the opportunity to move up. As a credit union, employees all own stock in Goldenwest and vote on issues.

  • Performance-based bonuses
  • 401(k) match
  • Discounts on loans and mortgage help
  • Many company get-togethers and employee appreciation events

MOZY

  • Size: Medium
  • Employees: 180

Mozy knows that a happy employee is a good one. At Mozy, making sure people like their jobs means a lot. It means very generous paid time off and benefits package. It means foosball, basketball and company hikes. It means open communication with management.

It’s this dedication to not just customers, but employees, that has employees leaving comments like, “One of a kind. Best job I’ve ever had, hands down.” Employees can play Wii or Rock Band, take advantage of golf passes or mingle with other employees during the company’s A Mozy Summer Fun program.

Performance-based bonuses on top of already good pay, regular interaction with management and fun office decor keep employee satisfaction high. And though they have a lot of fun, one employee says, “I feel I am challenged every day. There is always something new to learn and management is extremely responsive to requests to work on new things or to create new projects.”

  • Generous paid time off
  • 401(k) match
  • Free drinks and snacks
  • Onsite basketball court and rec rooms

SPILLMAN TECHNOLOGIES

  • Size: Medium
  • Employees: 228

Spillman Technologies recognizes that hard-working employees need time away from the office to rejuvenate. The company provides free, fully stocked condos at Bear Lake and St. George, so employees have somewhere to get a bit of rest and relaxation with their family and friends without worrying about money. And flexible scheduling makes balancing family time with work easy.

Staying healthy is also a priority at Spillman. The company covers 100 percent of insurance premiums and also contributes $3,000 into each employee’s HSA. The company’s robust benefits offerings and fun, family-oriented culture has one employee saying, “I don’t plan on leaving until I retire.”

Financial bonuses are an added incentive for employees to work harder, and tuition reimbursement opens doors for employees to move up in the company. One employee says, “Hands down, this is the best place I’ve ever worked.”

  • Free beverages including a Slurpee machine
  • Condos in Bear Lake and St. George
  • $3,000 HSA contribution
  • Flexible schedules

CHG HEALTHCARE SERVICES

  • Size: Large
  • Employees: 723

Putting People First is more than CHG’s company motto—it’s a core value that extends from its customers to its employees. “Trust, honesty, integrity, as well as the culture of ‘putting people first’ make this the best company to work for,” says one employee.

CHG offers a robust benefits plan, including innovative compensation and reward packages that recognize team and individual performance. One of the company’s most sought-after employee distinctions is its President’s Club. Employees in the club are rewarded with a week-long cruise, courtesy of CHG. The company also offers an inclusive healthcare package that offers fitness screenings and challenges, smoking cessation programs, and free flu shots.
