Park City - XYDO launched XYDO Brief, a news-via-email service that delivers personalized and relevant headlines based on a user’s social networks and interactions. In addition to processing more than 100,000 web content sources including news articles, editorials, blogs, videos, photos and social feeds, every piece of content that enters the system is scored based on the recommendations of XYDO’s 2 million contributors and curators.
Park City - JIBERISH VAULT, a street wear company that designs fashions catering to snowboarders and skateboarders, opened a new location at 314 Main Street in August.
Park City - LEONARDO’S FINEST CUISINE opened on the third floor of 333 Main Street. The restaurant’s menu has Italian, French, American and Caribbean cuisine and is open 9 a.m. – 11 p.m., Monday – Saturday.
Kamas - GABACHO’S NACHOS opened at 5 S. Main Street. The eatery is the second Mexican restaurant to open in Kamas this summer, and owned by Jackie and Jace Cannon.
St. George - HUNGRY HOWIE’S PIZZA opened its third St. George-area location at 2736 E. Red Cliffs Dr. in Washington. The company hosted a VIP party and ribbon cutting that featured four charitable donations to local organizations.
St. George - The SOUTHERN UTAH HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION (SUHBA) completed the remodel and expansion of the DOCTORS’ VOLUNTEER CLINIC. This project was made possible by members of SUHBA, many other construction-related businesses and community donations. The clinic was expanded more than 2,200 square feet and the existing building was remodeled.
St. George - An old-fashioned carousel ride was added to the ST. GEORGE TOWN SQUARE as part of the city’s effort to bring residents and visitors downtown. The 36-foot classic carousel, built in the ‘90s, recently finished a two-year refurbishment process and features more than 1,000 lights, two sleighs and 30 hand-painted horses.
St. George - COYOTE EXCHANGE, a boutique store for new and vintage clothing and accessories, signed a lease to open at the Boulevard Commons Shopping Center located at 400 W. St. George Boulevard.
St. George - The TV VIDEO CLINIC relocated to 1316 S. 400 East, Ste. B1. The company is a television repair center that provides in home service on LCD and PLASMA TVs. Jason Griffith and Meeja McAllister with NAI UTAH SOUTH helped in relocating and securing a new lease for TV Video Clinic.
St. George - WATTS CONSTRUCTION began work on THE RETREAT AT SUNRIVER, a state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care facility. The two-story building is more than 36,000 square feet and will consist of 36 assisted and independent living apartments, as well as 12 memory care suites. The retreat’s indoor amenities include a fitness/physical therapy facility, a full-service salon and an internet/computer center. Site amenities include waterfall features, gazebo areas, gardening boxes and a secured outdoor area for memory care. The $5.7 million project will eventually provide jobs for 30 employees.
St. George - CAPITAL FREIGHT MANAGEMENT and GLOBAL TRADE & CUSTOMS are collaborating to build, market and support a series of new domestic and international freight management solutions. The two companies also announced an agreement to provide each other’s clients with a seamless transition from domestic LTL, full truckload and warehousing to international, ocean and air freight services.
St. George - RICHENS EYE CENTER celebrated its 10th anniversary in St. George with an open house and health fair with refreshments and entertainment at the Richens Eye Center located at 161 W. 200 North.
