Salt Lake City - C7 DATA CENTERS signed a multi-year agreement with St. Paul-based HubbardRadio. As part of the agreement,C7 will provide Hubbard Radio with data center space, power, bandwidth and personnel services. C7’s facilities are designed to meet high-density computing requirements while efficiently delivering power, bandwidth and cooling to the customer.
Salt Lake City - YESCO is now franchising its service and repair system to qualified individuals throughout the country. YESCO is a family-owned provider of a full spectrum of sign and lighting products and services. YESCO franchises will be available in areas not currently served by YESCO, giving those businesses outside the YESCO footprint access to sign services.
Salt Lake City - BARRICK GOLD OF NORTH AMERICA signed a long-term lease for 50,000 square feet in Six Gateway at THE GATEWAY. Six Gateway, currently under construction, will be a 100,000-square-foot building with Silver LEED certification. The site will serve as the new headquarters for Barrick’s North American operations. Nick M. Teseros and Jack A. Woodward, both office building specialists with NAI WEST, represented Barrick in its property search and lease negotiations.
West Jordan - JORDAN VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER will serve as the Salt Lake area’s first center for comprehensive breast care. The center will provide and coordinate a full range of services, such as initial exams, digital mammography, MRI, breast biopsies, stereotactic procedures, brachytherapy, plastic reconstruction, breast-conserving surgery, genetic testing, oncology and cosmetic surgery.
Salt Lake City - SIMPLY MAC acquired MACDOCS, a Utah-based Apple specialist. Simply Mac will operate the MacDocs retail location on 1435 S. State Street in Salt Lake City, under the name and brand of Simply Mac. The company will continue serving existing MacDocs’ business and retail customers.
Salt Lake City - INTREPID, a Salt Lake-based hybrid communications firm, was named by TAUBMAN CENTERS as public relations agency of record for CITY CREEK CENTER. Intrepid will provide strategy, media relations, event coordination and messaging for the approximately 800,000-square-foot new shopping and dining center at the heart of the downtown redevelopment project.
Salt Lake City - XMISSION launched its new line of business phone services. XMission allows businesses to replace traditional analog office phone systems or enhance their existing private branch exchange (PBX) phone system with additional functionality.
South Jordan - VERISYS CORPORATION expanded its existing Utah operations. The company expects to continue to hire full-time positions in alignment with its growth trajectory. West Valley City - GREEN RIVER CAPITAL announced a partnership with West Jordan-based MOUNTAIN AMERICA CREDIT UNION to provide commercial and residential REO management services. The company offers a proven approach to managing and monitoring REO assets through their entire lifecycle, from acquisition through closing and final disposition.
Salt Lake City - The UNIVERSITY OF UTAH is graduating its first research-based company, CATHETER CONNECTIONS. The company produces a device that protects patients from infection during intravenous infusion therapy. The device has the potential to prevent thousands of infections and deaths caused by contaminated IV catheters and IV administration sets in hospitals.
Salt Lake City - INSTITUTE PROSCHLAF, a 117-year-old company from Salzburg, Austria, opened a U.S. subsidiary in Salt Lake City. The Utah business unit, SPINEOTIC USA, is involved in the customized wellness industry. Spineotic USA is planning to create 20 SLEEP SOLUTION CENTERS at local healthcare providers throughout Utah. The company will also license local mattress producers to manufacture customized sleep support systems that include mattresses and pillows.
Draper - DICKEY’S BARBECUE PIT opened its second Utah-based franchise in Draper. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is known for its hot pit-smoked signature meats and complimentary ice cream.
Tooele - The GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (GOED) announced AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS will build a new technology manufacturing facility in Tooele. Air Products and Chemicals has been developing Ion Transport Membrane (ITM) technology for nearly two decades with Salt Lake-based CERAMATEC.
