Renovation Creates Growth in SLC’s Historic Warehouse District
Salt Lake City - Renovation of the Keyser Building at 320 W. 200 South has pumped millions into the downtown Warehouse District, with expectations for that number to grow in coming months.
The renovated building is partially occupied by U.S. TRANSLATION COMPANY, which funded the renovation project. LLOYD ARCHITECTS designed the plans and EVERGREENE CONSTRUCTION carried them out. The Keyser Building is an example of modern industrial architecture, which helped return the structure to its original roots as a 1920s industrial warehouse.
We are so excited to be in this new space in the heart of Salt Lake City,” says David Utrilla, president of U.S. Translation. “We are also pleased that we could help provide jobs—especially in the construction field—for our community in this economic climate.”
U.S. Translation Company was previously located in South Ogden. The new space completes the language firm’s new branding, along with a redesigned website created by South Jordan firm RED OLIVE.
While U.S. Translation Company will occupy the third floor of the Keyser Building, the Peruvian Consulate in Utah will make its new home on the lower level. The first and second floors are currently open for lease and have the same urban industrial feel as the finished third floor.
